As part of the Association of Registered Graphic Designers Spring 2019 Designathon, Graphic Design Principal, Jack Henry worked with a group of designers to create some marketing collateral for 360kids. 360kids is a youth shelter in York Region working with homeless and at-risk youth in the region. 360kids was part of the Designathon because they were looking for someone to recreate their brochure. Our group was not only able to recreate a brochure but we also provided them with on brand social media post templates and a poster series for one of their programs.
This poster series is meant to build awareness amongst youth in schools who may not have a home to go to for any reason that 360kids offers a program called Nightstop.
The main idea behind this poster is that a kid that may be experiencing homelessness but still attending school would be able to quickly connect with the poster and then get the information for next steps without having to stare at the poster. I used the website as the contact information because a kid experiencing homelessness may not necessarily have access to a phone or other means of communication but they will have access to the internet on school computers.
